This year we decided to upgrade the A7 to A9. It is a completely new bicycle, every part better than A7.  There is a 9 speed cassette (not freewheel) in the rear.  Total 18 speed. Hydraulic disk brakes shimano, sloping top tube,  wider tires, chain-guard, internal cables etc... etc... It is selling well and getting a lot of compliments for the beautiful colour.

Disk brakes adjustments

Each disk brake will be assembled and adjusted before delivery; however, please allow a few rides for the brakes to "break-in" before re-adjusting. There are two pistons that squeezes the brake pads and the disk brakes.  The inside piston can be adjusted in or out using a #5 mm hex wrench.  If you turn "in" the brake pads will move closer to the disk, if you move out the brake pads will move further from the disk brakes.   The outside piston can be adjusted by tightening the brake cables.  There is one adjustment in the brake lever, and another...

New A7 + disk brakes

We finally received the new A7 with disk brakes.  I build one last night to test it. Everything works great. If you are used to shifting you know how nice it is to have the right cadence for each grade of incline. Because it rains soo much here in Canada i decided to go with disk brakes.  Disk brakes last much much longer and is more reliable in the rain.
